Julia Pasinski

I was born in Westerland on the island of Sylt in Northern Germany. In the south of the island -in Hörnum- I grew up.
On three sides water, waves and lots of wind!

My paternal grandfarther, was a trained mechanic, fisherman and painter in Hörnum. Unfortunately, he died long before I was born and I could not know him - but his paintings! Of course some of his work hung in the room of my grandmother, where I studied them as a child fascinated. Blots can be seen from a distance trees..great!

After school I went to Hamburg to study at the Kunstschule Wandsbek.

After graduation I spent half a year in Brussels. I was there a trainee for three months at Ammirati Puris Lintas.

I worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for some agencies.

For several years I am back with more of the painting.

Coincidentally, my husband's grandfarther was also an artist. He was a graphic designer in Hamburg and has also painted, drawn and made many beautiful wood and linocuts in his spare time.

He took his inspiration on his travels to Italy, Spain and Sylt. Unfortunately I also could not know him.

Meanwhile, my two sons have discovered the exciting (and relaxing) effect of painting and drawing for themselves.

So the story continues...;-)

1998-2000 made several illustrations for the agency Bartel, Brömmel, Struck (Otto, Eurocamp, Allianz)

1997 worked as graphic designer

1996 - 1997 six month stay in Brussels 3 month practical training at the advertising agency Ammirati Puris Lintas in Brussels/Belgium

1993 - 1996 Kunstschule Wandsbek 1996 certificate

During school painting cours with Günther Winkler (student of Schmitt-Rottluff ), practical training as typesetter at Sylter Druckerei, exhibition participation at the Stadtgalerie Alte Post in Westerland, communitiy college in Hörnum, Sparkasse Niebüll
